Our internationally-known programs offer the finest in continuing education by returning to Joe’s original teachings as passed on from our founding director, Jay Grimes.
8-week Courses (ISP) give you valuable time to devote yourself to your learning. These courses are offered a maximum of 4 times per year so you can participate according to your seasonal availability. Teachers find that weekly attendance compounds their learning, and maximizes understanding. Weekly attendance is recommended but all meetings will be recorded for review, or if you have to miss a meeting due to a conflict.
Teachers Clubhouse (TCH) is where we gather to discover what we didn’t know we don’t know about Joe’s method and how we apply it to our bodies. Through practice, we will uncover ambiguities and explore how our guidance affects bodies differently. Relevant topics will build upon each other from week to week and each teacher will receive personal attention.

ONLY for those teachers who have taken at least one 8-week session of Teachers Clubhouse, you may Drop-In for a single meeting.
The Process is a continuing education program that targets the mind of a teacher once their physical practice is solidly developed through Private Lessons, VP workouts, Teachers Clubhouses and Workshops. Those teachers who are ready for this program will be invited to join by Sandy. Workshops may be presented in 2 or 3 hour formats, giving participants the opportunity to learn from Sandy or her team of Experts, as well as from the other teachers in the room. Nothing can replace the learning potential of observing bodies in motion, or building teaching skills with your colleagues.
Vintage Pilates Online Workshops give teachers an opportunity to zero in on specific topics and principles 2 hours at a time. Our online workshops make it easy for teachers to join no matter where in the world you may be. These workshops are usually offered in two-parts to allow for both discussion and practice. All online workshops are recorded and made available to review or observe if you cannot participate in the workshop.
Camps are designed to give teachers an opportunity to train in=person with Sandy in an immersive weekend of workshops, private lessons, and VP classes. These Camps may take place in Los Angeles, Honolulu, or at studios around the world. The Independent Study Package (ISP) is for teachers looking for a graduate level offering that makes your personal practice and study a priority, This carefully crafted package for teachers is designed to flexible yet demanding so you gain insight and results. The package includes:
8 VP classes
2 Private lessons with Sandy
8 Teachers Clubhouse Drop-ins
2 two-hour workshops
All classes must be redeemed within 90 days of the date of purchase (except workshops). In 3 months’ time you will experience the benefit of consistent and regular training that will translate to your understanding of Joe’s Method of Contrology.
The Method is an elite Graduate level training program that recognizes the high level of skill and understanding required to be a great teacher. Teachers invited to participate in The Method have spent a significant amount of time studying at Vintage Pilates and are confident working on all the equipment Joe invented. This 2-5 year program challenges and supports teachers to arrive at their very best, building upon the tenents of Joe’s Method and philosophy.
These teachers dedicate 18 hours of practice and study per quarter, and attend 2 workshop weekends each year. Rather than following a set curriculum, this intensive program is designed around the needs of the participants to target areas of ambiguity and nurture natural ability. Graduation is based on readiness and depth of understanding.
